Mindshift Recovery is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing evidence-based, brain-science approaches to help people work with problematic behaviors and addictions including alcohol, substances, gambling, social media, and more.
Our mission is to make these science-backed tools as accessible as possible to as many people as possible, and help them reclaim their lives.
SAMHSA defines recovery as a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live self-directed lives, and strive to reach their full potential.
About the creator of the Mindshift Methodâ„¢
Mindshift Recovery's co-founder, Jud Brewer M.D., Ph.D. ("Dr. Jud"), is an addiction psychiatrist, neuroscientist, and a New York Times bestselling author. He's spent the past 25 years doing research in the connection between the brain and addiction and other habits. He co-founded Mindshift Recovery to bring his research, tools, and practices to people struggling with everything from alcohol to opioid addiction.
